Vision and Philosophy
Dr. Charles Francis has his focus on the cause of the problem not just the symptom alone. Through Dr. Francis’s evaluation and treatment of the nervous system, looking at spinal structure, muscle and joint injuries to different body parts and good nutrition. When treating patients, Dr. Francis noticed significant differences in healing times. The healthier patients recovered faster than the patients who had unhealthy eating and lifestyle habits. Dr. Francis noted that some of the unhealthier patients had difficulty with any kind of recovery in some instances. Using this evidence, Dr. Francis realized that in order to treat and heal his patient’s problems, he would need to treat the entire patient, not just the pain. This is when Dr. Francis began to study functional medicine.
Functional medicine is the branch of health that focuses on correcting the true cause of the health problem rather than providing a pill to cover up the symptom. Functional Medice can be used to slow the aging process, and cure the following chronic symptoms and diseases: chronic fatigue, insomnia, hormonal imbalances, fibromyalgia and neuropathy. Chronic diseases can be very complex and are often intermingled with various symptoms.
Dr. Francis believes that teaching his patients how to manage their own health is of the utmost importance. Dr. Francis soon realized that too many people are sick in this country and the only way to reach the masses was by giving lectures and writing a book.
Dr. Francis focused on teaching in his community: local churches and in Fortune 500 companies such as: Coca Cola, US LEC Corp, Microsoft, Bank of America, Wells Fargo and Hendricks Motor Sports, were just a few where he was able to speak to an audience. Dr. Francis has also been asked to speak at professional seminars where he was able to provide information and education to his colleagues.
